Quartz is an industrial composite material. Its composition is 93% natural milled rock and 7% binders and colouring agents. Quartz is appreciated for its wide range of solid colours.

Quartz countertops are perfect for kitchens as well as bathrooms.

Quartz is not a UV-resistant material and its colour may fade over time if exposed to direct sunlight.

Maintenance

Daily cleaning

We recommend the use of a damp (microfiber) cloth, warm water and, if necessary, a pH neutral detergent, a slightly alkaline (pH 8-10) or a slightly acidic (pH 4-6) detergent for daily cleaning. Detergents especially designed for the purposes of quartz maintenance should be preferred.

We do not recommend the use of abrasive or very acidic or bleach-containing detergents.

Preventing and removing stains

Protect the worktop against stains. Keep chemicals and corrosives away from the worktop.

We recommend that stains are removed immediately with paper towel, water and washing liquid. When dealing with heavier stains, we recommend the use of special scouring products that can be used for quartz. After using the product, the worktops should be washed again with water and detergent. A suitable preparation can be obtained from Diapol or, depending on the country, from a retail network.

Preventing heat damage and scratches

Since quartz is not completely heat resistant and can withstand heat only for a short period, we recommend that you always use heat shields to prevent heat damage.

Quartz is comparatively scratch-proof but we recommend that you always use cutting boards.

Long-term maintenance

Quartz worktops do not need to be treated with an impregnating agent since quartz does not absorb liquids.
